Life in America and Taiwan
Last month, I came to America. It's my first time to be in America. When I came here, everything intimidates me because of my poor English. I can't use my native tongue, and the feeling of being a foreigner set me apart from Americans. Sometimes I don't know how to order my meal or where is my direction. Now I have been in America for three weeks, and I am still experiencing culture shock now. Because there are several culture differences between America and Taiwan, I am in the adaptation process now.
Although there are a lot of differences, life in America and Taiwan is alike in several ways. First is an annoying thing that bus is always late. It wastes a lot of my time to wait for the bus in America and Taiwan. It seems that arriving late is right everywhere. Second, people who live in America are friendly as Taiwan. They always answer my question patiently because sometimes I can't figure out what they are talking about.
Following is some of differences. The most different one is foods. Foods are extremely different between the two countries. I can't bear eating hamburger or pizza everyday. It drives me crazy. But I like a difference that cars always give precedence to pedestrian in America. It's such a good habit that people in Taiwan should learn.
In the end, I am challenged by a new set of values in this country, and I think it's a wonderful experience for me. Although I can't deal with every task, I'll overcome all the problems.

BTW...just as we can understand "fuck", do they know what you mean when you say 「幹」/「靠北」? XD
Ha...you can use dirty words with sunny smile and they will never know about that.
